Marion Chapman: "I am fascinated by ancient art. I love the rhythmical patterns on Greek funerary urns, I adore the geometry of Aztec runes and I am infatuated with the intricacy of Celtic art. My main focus is watercolour and I can’t resist the physicality of print-making and I love combining printmaking with gouache or watercolour. painted the cellist in watercolour first and then i inked up a slat of wood and ran him thru the press and voila!
